Adaptive Dance Competitions and Festivals

Adaptive competitions and festivals are great ways to get involved with the dance world. Oragnizations such as the Star Dance Alliance have many of their own such as the Boundless Talent Showcase. Festivals like the Adaptive Dance party are hosted by organizations like Abilities Expo.

Competitions

1. Boundless Talent Showcase: a competition for individuals with disabilities that is part of the Star Dance Alliance.

2. Abilities Expo Adaptive Dance Party: a recurring event at the Abilities Expo that includes dance and other activities.

3. Addiction Dance Competition: an example of a standard dance competition that may have inclusive policies or divisions.

1. DisabiliTease Festival: an event that combines adaptive dance with performance and education, focusing on themes of sensuality and confidence.

2. Battery Dance Festival: features performances from a variety of artists and dance copmanies, some of which may include adaptive dance, alongside workshops and community events

3. 92NY Future Dance Festival: an annual festival that showcases emerging choreographers and dance filmmakers, with a focus on supporting the future of dance
