Movement can reconnect people with their bodies after trauma, offering non-verbal ways to process pain.
Something I've mentioned briefly before is dance therapy. Dance therapy is typically used for survivors of abuse, refugees, and veterans; helping them build trust, release tension, and reclaim lost joy.
The power of healing doesn't just come from technique—it comes from safe spaces where dancers can move without judgement. Those with similar stories, or those that can provide empathy to those struggling.
Be the safe space someone else can come to.
